Ceramic Materials Workshop Current Course Offerings!

Ceramic Materials Workshop currently offers 3 types of online glaze and clay courses to fit our students' schedules and learning styles!   

1)  CMW Full Courses - Our most popular interactive option! 

• Understanding Glazes – Introductory course on glazes and how they work.  Offered 4 times each year in January, April, July and October.  All levels of students welcome.   
• Introduction to Clay Bodies – Learn about the science behind clay bodies.  Offered 2 times each year in January and July.   All levels of students welcome.   
• Advancing Glazes – Next level course to learn about glazes.  Offered 4 times each year in January, April, July and October.  All students must have taken the full course of Understanding Glazes in order to take this course. 
• Crystal Ball (coming Oct 2022) - New course that focuses on microcrystalline glazes.   Offered 2 times each year in April and October.  All students must have taken the full course of Understanding Glazes in order to take this course. 

All Full Courses Include: 

• 4 months of access to course materials beginning on 1st day of course 
• On demand weekly lectures - can stop and start and rewind to re-watch 
• Hands On Lab Experiments and Testing 
• Live Q&A Discussions with Matt 

 
2)  CMW Lectures Only Courses - Great option for students with limited time! 

• Understanding Glazes – Comprehensive introductory course on glazes and how they work.   All levels of students welcome.   
• Introduction to Clay Bodies – Learn about the science behind clay bodies.   All levels of students welcome.   
• Advancing Glazes – Next level course to learn about glazes.   All students must have taken the Lectures Only course of Understanding Glazes in order to take this course. 
• Lectures Only Bundle – Includes 3 Lectures Only Courses – Understanding Glazes, Introduction to Clay Bodies, Advancing Glazes – for a great price. 
• Crystal Ball (Coming Jan 2023) - New course that focuses on microcrystalline glazes.  All students must have taken the Lectures Only course of Understanding Glazes in order to take this course. 

All Lectures Only Courses Include: 

• 4 months of immediate access to lectures upon enrollment 
• On demand lectures – can stop and start and rewind to re-watch 
• Option to upgrade to future Full Course for difference in tuition + $100 processing fee 

 
3)  CMW Workshops – Perfect for students who want to learn on their own schedule! 

• Glaze of Our Lives – Beginner introduction course to glazes and how they work 
• The Middle Glazes – Cone 06 course that focuses on mid-temperature glazes. 
• Glazed and Confused – Learn about the Unity Molecular Formula - UMF 
• Workshop Bundle – Includes all 3 CMW Workshops – Glaze of Our Lives, The Middle Glazes, Glazed and Confused – for a great price.
